Homecoming Queen Kathy Reigns Over Game, Parade Homecoming, held October 24, waswfilled with many exciting events, as in past homeobmings. The festivities began immediately following the Bee football game with the traditional parade of floats. Highlighting the evening was the crowning of Kathy Hartley as Homecoming Queen, with Jeannette Ramirez, Nancy Totten, Jill Liscom, Kathy Bundy, and Elana Lesser as princesses. Float awards were then presented with the senior class float winning first place, and the junior class and Bee cheerleaders taking runner-up awards. 1. Debbie Regalado, last year's homecoming queen crowns Kathy Hartley, Homecoming Queen 1975. 2. Winning first place, the senior float featured The Friendly Eagle, the Principian mascot, with Georgene Walker as George Washington and Carla Butler as Betsy Ross. 3. The Bee cheerleaders entered a beehlve float and took the third place award in the contest. 4. The 1975 Homecoming Court: Princesses Jeanette Ramirez, Nancy Totten, Queen Kathy Hartley, Princesses Jill Liscom, Kathy Bundy, and Elana Lesser, 5. The junior class float, with an Olympians beer can. received second prize. 24

Spirit Week Numerous Themes Highlight Activities The spirit of the Scots was seen and shown during the annual spirit week, coordinated by Craig Abshere, Secretary of Spirit. Spirit Week began on Monday, October 20th with Sports Day. Here the students dressed up in a variety of sports uniforms and participated in showing their athletic ability in the games on the guard at lunch. Tuesday the students dressed up as high school students did during the 50's and a sock hop was held in Highlander Hall during lunch. Wednesday was Class Rival Day which was designated for competition between the classes to determine which class had the most spirit. Thursday was Crazy T-shirt and Hat Day where the students dressed in their craziest T-shirts and hats. Friday was the traditional Homecoming Day when all the new as well as old cheerleaders and yell leaders wore outfits, and the student body participated by wearing green, black, and white. A spirit rally was held at lunch on the quad with all the cheerleaders and yell leaders helping to build excitement for the Homecoming game. 1. A Highlander dressed up for Spirit Week. 2. Sue Hooks dresses in her version of Sports Day. 3. 50's Day was once again a successful part of Spirit Week. 4. Homecoming brought previous and present day cheerleaders together to perform to the Tunes of Glory. 5. Passing the Life-saver was one of the games planned for Sports Day activities. 23 Z -1
