Pep Assembly Spirit Rally Sparks Sports Enthusiasm This year's sports season began with the traditional Pep Assembly. The many fall sports teams were introduced at the spirit booster encouraging students to participate in school activities. The Granada Hills High School band and drill team performed a precision routine exhibiting the talent that brought them the L.A. city championship. The fall varsity, Bee, senior, and junior class cheerleaders led rousing cheers to spark excitement for the first football game. Administrators were introduced and Sue Fife, student body president spoke briefly. 1. Pipers Greg Lafollette, Jon Levitow, and Colin Edwards carry on the Scot tradition and perform the Tunes of Glory. 2. The varsity football team patiently waits for their names to be called. 3. Highland Dancers ,Heidi Kaufman, Jeanine Flavell, Jackie Webb. and Dawn Goldman perform the Highland Fling in front of the Student Body for the first time of the season. 4. Boosting the football team throughout the entire season, the Bonnie Lassie Drill Team is a spirited part of Granada. 5. Yell King Craig Abshere and Song Queen Crystal Oh enthusiastically promote spirit to fellow students at the assembly and throughout the entire semester. 16

LH, A ctivity Assembly Hypnotist Amuses Spellbound Scots The Activity Card Assembly for Fall 1975 featured Mr. George Sharp, the man famous for his power of suggestion. The assembly was held October 10, and only Activity Card holders were able to attend. Mr. Sharp included the student body as well as the volunteer students in demonstrating his abilities. Using his influence, he made students believe that they were muscle men, leaders of the women's lib and gay liberation movements, and people such as Raquel Welch and Burt Reynolds. As a result, the assembly proved to be a most interesting and entertaining one. 1. The volunteers demonstrate how they would kiss their lovers. 2. The student body gets into the act. 3. Mr. Sharp's influence turns senior guys into muscle men. 4. Other volunteers enjoy Tony Oliver's imitation of Burt Reynolds. 5. The crowd laughs at the antics of their fellow students at the George Sharp assembly. 18 :I
