Pep Assembly Spirit Rally Sparks Sports Enthusiasm This year's sports season began with the traditional Pep Assembly. The many fall sports teams were introduced at the spirit booster encouraging students to participate in school activities. The Granada Hills High School band and drill team performed a precision routine exhibiting the talent that brought them the L.A. city championship. The fall varsity, Bee, senior, and junior class cheerleaders led rousing cheers to spark excitement for the first football game. Administrators were introduced and Sue Fife, student body president spoke briefly. 1. Pipers Greg Lafollette, Jon Levitow, and Colin Edwards carry on the Scot tradition and perform the Tunes of Glory. 2. The varsity football team patiently waits for their names to be called. 3. Highland Dancers ,Heidi Kaufman, Jeanine Flavell, Jackie Webb. and Dawn Goldman perform the Highland Fling in front of the Student Body for the first time of the season. 4. Boosting the football team throughout the entire season, the Bonnie Lassie Drill Team is a spirited part of Granada. 5. Yell King Craig Abshere and Song Queen Crystal Oh enthusiastically promote spirit to fellow students at the assembly and throughout the entire semester. 16
