FOOTBALL SCORES BEE Opponent Granada 6 Polytechnic 19 0 Verdugo Hills 26 6 Los Angeles 15 33 Taft 6 2 Canoga Park 7 6 Cleveland 20 0 Birmingham 7 6 Reseda 15 The mighty Highlander Bee team finished the season in a tie for first place by posting a magnificent 7-1 record. The only setback was a dis- heartening defeat at the hands of Taft in the first league game. Outstanding players on this year's team were junior halfback Bob Smith, who scored 6 touchdowns, and senior guard Barry Penzel, who made many key tackles and blocks. Both Penzel and Smith were on the All West Valley Bee first team. Other players who excelled were Tom Slasor, Bill Ord, and Ron Fiyi.
