This was done through skits and one full length pro- duction. Members soon discov- ered that those long rehearsals required time and Work. Student Life This committee, selected by the students, served as the judi- cial branch of the student body. It brought to campus a Vari- ety of cultural exper- iences, with musical, dra- matic, and visual artists to enhance the students' ex- posure to the performing arts. Prayer Gro up Leaders Prayer groups were formed this year to pro- mote intercessory prayer for different coun tries and people groups. The mem- bers met weekly to pray for the needs of these peo- ple. Through doing so, they learned more about these lands and how to more effectively pray for them. Organizations 49

Social 941 ' iffmegl .t 3 mi Social Committee: Keith Strasser, Dacia Solida y, Arlene Bixel, Janette Pokorn y, Banquet i if R Freshman initiation, Flirp weekend, Open House, and Homecoming were the events that the Social Committee was in vol ved in planning. This year there was an open house and Flirp weekend each semester, as these seemed to be Widely accepted and enjoyed. The committee's goals throughout the year were that of providing recreation and opportunit1'es for people to get to know one another. These goals were met to the satisfaction of the com- mittee and the entire student body. The Banquet Committee learned a lot about Working to- gether and organizing events through the planning of the Fall Event and Spring Banquet. Mr. James Eckman was emcee for this year's Fall Event, a ca- sual and enjoyable evening. The Spring Banquet was a more formal evening of dining and entertainment. W vii . .ttxx J.
