Choosing which sessions to attend was the
hard part about Grace's Informal Seminar Da y.
During this day, classes were set aside as stu-
dents and others attended these interesting
seminars led by faculty and staff members.
There was a wide variety of topics, which of-
fered help on many different things including
how-to's, controversial issues, and personal
problems. There were great discussions and
times of laughter, as Well as some Very sobering
moments, as students experienced learning in a

The second semester Day
of Prayer had as its emphasis
intercessory prayer for oth-
ers. The day started with the
prayer breakfast, which in-
cluded a devotional by Steve
Prieb, special music by Jen-
nifer Johnson and Mika
Tsuneda, and prayer around
the tables. After this came
prayer with counselor-
counsellee groups. In the ser-
vice that followed, Paul Ny-
quist, pastor of Evangelical
Bible Church, spoke on inter-
cessory prayer as participa-
tion, not manipulation.

A high level of anticipation
marked the coming of the
Spring Missionary Conference.
The two main speakers were
Gordon Dorey with SEND In-
ternational, and Bud Acord
with Sudan Interior Mission.
Their messages centered
around the theme "Put Your
Hands to the Task. "
Bud Acord spoke on the chal-
lenge to reach the Islamic
world for Christ. His burden
was to get Christians con-
cerned not only for Jews, but
also for the Arab World. Gor-
don Dorey emphasized the im-
portance of the local church in
Over twenty missionaries
from a variety of Mission
Boards offered students chal-
lengingperspec tives of the mis-
sion Held in their workshops.
