Mini-Missions conference for a week-end at the Gospel Missionary Union headquarters exposed 24 Grace students to the possibilities of service in world missions. The warm hospitality coupled with inspiring workshops pro vided a refreshing outlook on issues such as raising support, individual disci- pleship, communication, and local church involve- ment in missions. The fellowship and interaction with staff showed students that missions is more than an occupation - it is a lifestyle. nformal Fa cult Nigh t GMU etreat Sure, your professor is a very knowledgeable man and a great teacher, but do you know any- thing more about him? Do you really know him as a person? That is the purpose of faculty night: coming together on an informal basis, letting your hair down, and getting to know your instructors, administrators, and fellow students as they really are. The speakers centered around the theme of Discipleship in Difhcult Times. Dr. Warren Wiersbe keyed in on the aspect of prayer, while Rev. Wendel Grout focused his attention on the life of Joseph and gave valuable insights on human relationships. Joining later in the week, Dr. Dave Breese centered his attention on the end times. Students also had opportunities for more informal interaction with the speakers during meals and in the dorms, and found that getting to know the speakers as people added a new dimension to the conference.
