Fall Picnic The first social event of the year, the Fall Picnic, began at Spring Lake Park with re- creation, fellowship and, of course, food. A time of entertainment followed in the school cafeteria, including skits by various halls and a showing of the film, Touch of the Master's Hand. utdoor Recreation to file As the Outdoor Recreation class ventured off on their Labor Day Weekend camping trip, they soon discovered they were in for more excitement than they had bar- gained for. Their experiences in- cluded strapping backpacks on soft shoulders, crawling up the green wooded hills of Indian Caves Sta te Park, and consuming the best greasy pancakes ever ea- ten. Many were tempted to think as Kelly Mallory, What am I do- ing here? However, after surviving the first shock of reality, they quickly learned to appreciate the strug- gle, knowing how much they would benefit from this learning experience. - a Pra er Is Day of Prayer necessary? Grace students think so. They appreciate it because it dra ws people togeth- er. Says Janette Pokorny, It helps me focus on God and see people's needs. This year's Day of Prayer commenced with a pray- er breakfast involving faculty, staff and students, and featured a message from Pastor Robert Thune of the Omaha Gospel Tabernacle.
