9 2 30th anniversary banquet Grace Bible lnstitute's 30th Anniversary celebration began early on Grace Fellowship Day. Thanksgiving and sharing continued throughout the afternoon as alumni attended Iuncheons, meetings, and other special activities. The 30th Anniversary Banquet at the Omaha Hilton climaxed the day. Dr. Burkholder, who has been associated with Grace since its beginning, delighted his listeners by recounting the school's history. Grace began with a group of dedicated men who met at the Flatiron Hotel in 1942. To commemorate this occasion, the school was presented with the "Nlillenium," a painting which hung in that hotel room thirty years ago. Another important presentation took place at the banquet: Vernon Buller, Development Director, outlined plans for the new academic building. Grace Fellowship Day reminded students, faculty, staff and alumni of God's provi- sion and faithfulness. Their thankfulness included giving to the building fund. l

bible conference In an age when the contemporary church has set an aim of union and compromise, the role of the true Church, the body of Christ, has become confused. During Bible Conference 1972, students were presented with Biblical principles regarding the Church's responsibility. Dr. James B. Crichton spoke on "The Believer's Attitude Toward the Church." Dr. W. Robert Cook's presentations concerned "The Church and Contemporary Theological issues," while Rev. Gordan lVlacDonald discussed "The Church at Work in Today's World." The messages not only provided resource material for future service, but presented practical truths for current student ministries.

ben peterson, fall banquet speaker fall banquet 1972 was election year. At the Fall Banquet, Grace had their own candidate - Snoopy. He himself has said, "Happiness is having a dog for President!" While we were having dessert, Drama Club performed skits of political wit. Then Ben Peterson, in Snoopy's own words "the world's greatest wrestler," gave his testimony of, what Christ means to him. Ben is a 1972 Olympic Gold lVledal winner. He shared some of his Olympic experiences, giving God the glory for his accomplishments. 19
