the People
Headed by Vernon Buller, this' Office incorporates three distinct ministries. The three
representatives working with Stewardship Counseling seek to minister to spiritual needs as well as
presenting the financial needs of the school. Contacts are gleaned from mailing lists, people
interested through the ministry of an extension group, and personal contact. Through rallies, the
"AlurnneWs," and personal contact, the Alumni Office keeps events of the school in view of the
alumni. In addition, a file is maintained of job opportunities with Christian groups to aid in job
placement. As Director of Public Relations, Mr. Verne Hutchison is responsible for coordinating
the extension ministries fmusic groups, faculty speakers, and pulpit supplyj outside the Omaha
area as well as arranging advertising and displays.

Expandin for Greater Service
A non-commercial station and the only one in this area
offering quality Christian broadcasting, KGBI is supported
entirely by the gifts of its listeners. Although KGBI is
owned and operated by the school, Station Manager Ward
Childerston assumes responsibilities for personnel, program
selection, and promotion.
Foremost in the station's plans are those of expansion.
Boosting broadcasting power from 29,000 to 100,000 watts
requires a new tower and transmitter. Land for the tower
site and building has already been given to the school.
Improving quality by changing to stereo broadcasting is the
second objective, and expanded studios are soon to be
opened in a recently acquired building on the Grace
campus. The new station will provide a spacious reception
area, offices, facilities for a tape library and news coverage,
and two studios with attached control roomsg one for
regular broadcasting and the second for the preparation and
pre-recording of special programs. Of the S120,000 needed
for the expansion, 596,000 has been received in cash and
faith promises.
The staff of KGBI is excited by its expansion, challenged
by the problems of the world, and looking forward to
greater service for the school.
