ir' 1' sul 5 Student Body Fellow Students, We are living in a day of fantastic change. VVho would have dreamed, even five years ago, that we would have men circling the moon or that human hearts could successfully be trans- planted? Yet with all our technical and medical advances, the world today has problems like it has never seen before. Everywhere we see signs of social, economical, and political unrest. The world into which we, as young people, will be going is full of frustrated, mixed-up people searching desperately for some meaning or purpose in life. We, as young people who know jesus Christ in a personal way, have the answers to life-there is no doubt of that. The problem comes as we try to communicate our faith to the world around us. To help solve this problem, I believe one of the main purposes of Grace is to turn out balanced young people who, with Christ as the center of their lives, are physical- ly, socially, and mentally prepared to make Iesus Christ relevant to the world in which we live. Therefore, it has been our purpose as a Student Body Executive Committee to create an atmosphere in which it is possible to become a socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually balanced individual-an individual who is up to date and culturally prepared for reaching the world as it is today with the realization that jesus Christ is the only answer to the worldis problems. It is my desire that each of us, as Grace young people, accept tl1e challenge of this excit- ing day in which we live, and allow jesus Christ to use us as individuals to make an impact upon our world. Student Body President Dave Basinger
