Missions Department Mr. Anderson is the instructor, of the Missions Department. The missionary program has been de- signed to train students for foreign missionary service. Courses :in this program are geared to prepare the prospective missionary to care for his own physical and spiritual needs under the varying circumstances of different mission fields, to acquaint him with the various cultures and religions of the world, to familiar- ize him With requirements and policies of present day mission boards, and to teach effective methods of communicating the gospel in heathen lands. .af t, ,Z Era 3 ggi 'f K. .jj , t , .i IJ 5, IVE l 'Q' gba f' f' 'x Music Department Mr. Wiebe is the Director of the Music De- partment. Realizing the effectiveness of music, the department offers two programs. The -Sacred Music Program seeks to Uain students in various ministries of music, and to give the student an opportunity to participate in public performances. The Christian Education and Music Program combines these objectives with those of the Christian Education Department.

Departments of Instruction Bible Department The Bible is at the heart of each course offered at Grace Bible Institute. It is the major in all the programs of instruction. The Bible has been given a place of such importance in the ciuriculurn be- cause Grace seeks to prepare stu- dents for church-related Christian ministries. A three-year General Bible program is offered which leads to a diploma. This program prepares students for service as laymen and serves as a basis for other under- graduate work. Christian Education Department li Dr. Anna Bieger is Director of the Christian Education Depart- ment. This department offers three .programs-Religious Education, Christian Education, and Christian Education and Music. Its piupose is to give training in how to com- rnunicatethe Bible to various age groups, and to give assistance to other departments in the training of Christian workers.

Pastoral Ministries Department Dr. Burkholder is the Director of the Pas- toral Ministries Department. The two programs in this department are designed for those who are called to be pastors. Students in these pro- grams are given a systematized study of Bible doctrine, a study of the Creek language, and training in how to conduct special services and carry out the practical aspects of a pastor's re- sponsibilities. Psychology and Philosophy Department f , Mr. Schrag is the instructor of the Psychology and Philosophy Program. In this program the stu- dent is given courses which help him to understand and evaluate the trends of thought and ideologies of the day, and courses which help him to understand human behavior.
