IN LOVING TRIBUTE We of the Grace Famrly frnd our deepest tributes to the memory of our beloved President best expressed rn the words of those who spoke at the memorial service on February 16 1960 A prince rn Israel has fallen A man beloved not only for what he drd but for what he was a Chrrstran gentleman gifted teacher administrator whose stature was not fully known Dr Schmidt has blessed the whole Church of Christ and Evangelr calrsm has lost a great good man For now but then I Corinthians 13 12 Dr R R Brown pastor of Omaha The tributes we give to Dr Schmidt are tributes to the Lord Jesus Himself because he took Him for hrs example and was so much like the Lord Jesus Mr Ed Schellenberg for the Local Church I am confident that our most lasting memorial to hrs lrfe will be lsurrender all Mr Don Tschetter for Grace Alumni Hrs keen insight into our complex present day Chrrstran faith and lrfe hrs mature effectrve wrtness among God s people made hrm an extremely valuable tool rn God s hand May hrs dedicated example cause all of us to rededrcate ourselves anew to Christ and Hrs service Rev A H Schultz for the Board of Directors He was rn private what he was rn public a man of utter devotion to duty maturity of Judgment and firm convrctron Mr John Schrag for the Faculty I have always appreciated the genuine warm hearted interest he took rn us as stu dents We could pay hrm no greater tribute than to fulfill that whrch was the desire of hrs heart for us to reach the lost with the Gospel' Mr Darrell Fast for the Student Body The most pleasant memories of lrfe are from the days we walk with the Lord and with Hrs people For many of us 1959 60 offered many pleasant walks along the trarls among the hrlls of God The presence of the Lord should not seem strange or unreal to Hrs chrldren One day Enoch walked so far with God that they decided never to return Drd you ever read of a more natural or alovelrer home going for one of God s chrldren?
