Sta ff Karen Van Vuren was able to put two calls on hold, prepare an ice pack, direct a student to the Lost 5 Found, and type a letter - all at the same time! One day she couldn't make it in - things just weren't the same. We sure love Karen! WWW Nelda Hcdntch worked hard this year keeping our library in order and in building up our resources. By keeping close track of overdue books, she helped to teach our students greater , responsibility with their books. We really love you, Nelda! I The tutoring program is meant to individually guide a student in a particular subject area or skills area. MnA. waibon has her students use many different approaches to help them learn their skills. Puppet shows, treasure hunts and taped stories were some of the ways that students could develop their skills. The tutoring program has been a real success as there has been a lot of improvement in skills over the year. Thank you Lord!

The Principal This school year I stood before you on 34 dif- ferent Monday mornings to introduce the memory verse topic of the week. QThere were 35 Mondays this school year but my family and I were stranded by flood waters in Sabino Canyon on one of them -- remember? If it were required of me to sunmarize all the different Bible topics taught this year into only one word, then that word must be - UNITY. Recall with me the first menory verse of the year, HBehoZd how good and how pleabanf it ia gon bncthnen to dwell fogcfhcn Ln unitgu. My heart has rejoiced as I have watched students encouraging, helping and enjoying one another. My heart has ached as I saw students arguing among thenk selves or excluding other students from school activ- ities. Remember that Jesus loves you whether you are helping a friend or arguing with a friend. Have you learned that valuable lesson, however, that life is just more fun when you make that extra effort to help others, encourage others and love others? Behold how good and how pleasant it is. At first we can't find our lunch pails or even the First Grade Room. But now, many months later, we can read and write, take care of ourselves, and offer prayer and a helping hand to others in need. We've lost over 20 teeth in First Grade - 15 of which have grown back to date! We're wonderful little people and we LOVE Jesuslu , 8:5 5
