HWe in the Third Grade have had a great year! We really enjoyed our unit on Eskimos and making an Eskimo village in art. Everyone seemed to like the unit on the solar system best because that is the most popular topic for science reports. We had a nice trip to the Randolph Zoo and Park. we also went to Green Things Nursery and on a nature hike to Sabino Canyon. Our class is really looking forward to swnner camp this year and we are already thinking of ways to earn money to go. We have called ourselves the Club for Jesus this year. It has helped to unify our class as is stated in our first memory verse, Behold how good and how plieofscmt Lt vs gon bnctlvzen io dwell iogeihen in uniig.H Pbalm 733r1

They covered an espec- ially interesting number of topics in Social Studies inclu- ding ancient Greece and Rome. Decorating, baking and eating cookies was also a favorite activity. Have you ever eaten a cookie decorated like a volcano? The class took field trips to Shamrock Dairy and Picacho Peak. The way every- body hiked up that hill showed they do something in P.E. And if you walked into their classroom in May you would have seen Jasper, a baby quail which hatched in the incubator What a neat miracle the Lord perfonned for us as we ended the year.H
