JENNIFER LYNN GRIMES Awarded to that student who, through perseverance, has shown the most improvement in the various aspects of school life and has become an esteemed contributor to the well- being of the Governor Dummer community. ELIZABETH ANN DIEHL THE WHITTEMORE AWARD Awarded to that sophomore who through hisfher attitude and persever- ance has made the best contribution to the Academy. THE GOODWIN THE MURPHY ATHLETIC PRIZE The Goodwin Athletic Prize is given to that senior who, by his athletic achievement and sportsmanship, has brought the greatest honor to his school during the past year. He has received recognition as one of the finest secondary school basketball players in the nation. He takes pride in teamworkg he has achieved this present stage of excellence through hard work, desire, and a fierce will to win. ATHLETIC AWARD The Murphy Athletic Award is awarded to that senior girl who, by her example and by her achievement in athletics, has brought high honor to herself and to her school. Varsity in eleven of her twelve seasons, All-American in lacrosse from her sophomore year on, All-League for three years in both basketball and lacrosse, and Honorable Mention in soccer for two years, captaincies and STEVEN LEE BUCKNALL FRENCH TROPHY The French Trophy is given to a student whose perserverance, sports- manship and generous spirit on the playing field represent the highest standards of participation. Her response to all challenges has been to try harder, her habit in competition is to be fiercely competi- tive yet always with an obvious enjoyment of competition. REBECCA LYNNE CHASE 22 31,-Q-3 , MVPs in all three of her sports, she accomplished all this with humility and quiet dignity. ANNA -LEIGH PERKINS HILL THE WILKIE SERVICE AWARD The Wilkie Service Award is awarded to a senior whose contribution to the community outside the school have best demonstrated deep concern and unfailing sympathy and aid. She is a most positive young person. She has given more than five hundred hours of volunteer service in many different roles to The Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport. KELLY ANNE VANDAL
