In a small, close-knit community such as Governor Dummer, each member is expected to accept responsibility. With this responsibili- ty, each contributes to the well-being of the community. When the respon- sibility is neglected, the negligence has an impact throughout the community. Every aspect of Governor Dum- mer Academy involves teamwork. TEAMWORK is a special quali- ty which is often overlooked as being an important aspect of a community. Most think of teamwork as members of an athletic team working together to ultimately achieve victory. This is the most common interpretation of the word, however, its boundaries are not that limited. People must work together, and rely on other people, in order to complete a difficult and demanding task. Without help and support from others, the task becomes many times harder, and much longer to complete. By using teamwork, each member accepts part of the responsibility.
