The club is basically a service organization sponsered by me local Kiwanis Club, and its jobs include running a coat check at school functions. In their off- hours, they schedule dinners, fishing trips, and guest speakers. Mr. R. Duggan and Mr. Neddoff share the supervision. ' Blue shirts, red hats and an abundance of school spirit are all a part of being a member of th Pep Club. The organization was formed to raise school spirit in general by bringing a block 0 students to each athletic game. The chief prereq uisite For membership is a loud voice. tereszf A newspaper with emphasis on math is tl1e Gov- ernor Livingston Highland Calculator. Mr. George Mackrin is the teacher-supervisor of this interesting publication. Articles in the paper in- clude interviews of teachers, math puzzles and problems, and a roving reporter section. Another highlight is the math honor roll, in which stu- dents gain recognition for superior work in math. A creative writing club headed by Miss Hig- gins in which students are able to express them- selves through poems, essays and compositions is the Scribblers Club. L. library, Under the direction of Librari-' an M. Richter, they work during their after- noons and free periods gaining knowledge of library skills and serving the school. The rook and pawn are still strange symbols this year for the Chess Club is newly created. This group of ambitious students has formed an as- sociation to not only play the ancient game, but to learn its tricks and turns. Mr. Faubl directs the interplay of bishop and knight.
