Glau Jluiofuf In l9h9, the doors of Goshen and Company were opened once again. Sixty-five industrious workers entered to begin a four year employment. . We chose Roger Stitle, President, Lee McCluggage, Vice President, Doris Schneider, Secretary, and Shirley Bricker, Treasurer, to assist our foreman, Mr. Matasy. We had the pleasure of working in the new addition to Goshen,which was added during the summer and also made use of the newly opened Cafeteria after Christmas. We,being an intelligent as well as an industrious class, had partici- pants in the scholarship tests at Mount Union. we also took time off from our work to put on a program for the other employees of Goshen and Co. It is a custom of Goshen andCkL to provide a three month vacation for all employees of its factory. We very willingly accepted this vacation. When we returned in the fall of the year we were Sophomores with one year behind us. Our foreman this year was Mr. Van Brocklin. Roger Stitle was President, Dick Hahlen, Vice President, Doris Schneider, Secretary, and Mary Beth Morrow, Treasurer. We began to make money by selling pro- grams at basketball games and saving tax stamps. we seemed to lose no in- telligence during the summer and weomce again had participants in scholar- ship tests. When our annual vacation ended,we returned and received the promotion to Juniors, which made us upper classmen. As our Junior year began our department of Goshen and Co. was under the direction of Mrs. Jackson. We elected Carson McNeely, President, Lee McCluggage, Vice President, Doris Schneider, Secretary, and Shirley Ann Wyss, Treasurer. During our Junior year, we sponsored dances, roller skating parties, sold Christmas cards, platters, magazines, .candy, and basketball pencils to reach our goal of '32000. Our class took a trip to Akron, under the supervision of Mr. Ingold our history teacher, -and went through the Naval Air Base. We presented for the enjoyment of our employees and families, a play entitled HAlong Came Peggyn under the direction of Miss Melick. After our short vacation, we came back to resume our fourth and final year at Goshen and Co. Mrs. Jackson once again became our advisor with Roger Stitle, Presidentg Carson McNeely, Vice President, Doris Schneider, Secretary, and Judy Galbreath, Treasurer. We are striving to make enough money for our long awaited trip to Washington D. C. by collecting class dues and saving tax stamps. We chose for our play this year nGrandad Steps Outu under the supervision of Mrs. Jackson. As our Annual goes to press we are looking forward to Commencement on May 27, after which we will leave for Washington on May 28.
