omecoming was more exciting than ever this year thanks to our hard-working, almost unde' feated Redskin Football team, which brought more spirit to our fans than the last couple of years. Almost everyone was taking part in the pre- game activities, which consisted of the orange pass, the bedsheet race the 3-legged race, and the wheel- barrell race. These events were won, of coarse, by the class of '88, who has won every year but one. The Homecoming king and queen this year were Jeff Showalter and Kate Singer. Other senior candif dates were Miriam Blosser with Jeff Wingard, and Soniia Steggleman with Mike Essig. A major part of the homecoming spirit was due to an exciting pep rally during the last hour of school, which began with the t'Kiss the Pig Contest. Mrs. Faucet had practically unanimously won this contest with a whopping S lO0 in pennies. The other half of the rally consisted of the faculty whipping the seniors in a playful game of football: - each of the senior football players adding their line of spirit to the day. All in all, homecoming was again, the major activity ' lead our football team into win- ' our year of the season which ' nals, but unfortunately ending ning the sectio at regionals. 6 5-ff
