Mr, Wavne Lame hrights schedule was arranged to ac- comodate computer math interests. Miss Connie Chase was added to the staff this xear to help with the class lillikl, The annual American lligh School Mathematics Examination was held on liehruary 26. 19?-45 with Goshen finish- ing a competitive first in the state for the first time. The team score consisted of the top three scores from each school. Chris Bowman finished first in the school for the second time. and claimed second in the state. Mike Wit- trig finished 15th in the state with Mi- chael Hildebrand and jeff Wertz tying to finish Sllth in the state. lixam Man- ager Mrs. -Iudv Caglev explained that Hi schools participated this year and 'X GHS students took part in the event. Other top ten finishers include Traci' Slahaclijoe Grise. Scott Baker. Ami' Gingerich. Terry Slahach. and Bryan Luheck. The husiness department went through few alterations during the vear. Other than a few minor changes in teachers' schedules. the vear was spent preparing students for colleges and careers. Sophomore Carol l.ee summed up her typing semester. l felt that the courses I took in typing will give many henefits and skills that I will need. The social studies department pro- vided the student body with many dif- ferent opportunities. citizenship for freshmen students and l'S llistorv for juniors. Seniors took Civics and had a choice of Psvchologi' or Sociology. Seniors will rememher the famous op- tionals' of Max Slahaugh's Civics class.
