Goshen Suecessfull Defend Goshen went into the 43rd running of the Goshen Relays as defending champions and when the scores were added up at the end of the meet. Goshen had again been victorious. They scored l07 points, clinch- ing the Class B title. Fort Wayne Snider won the class A title. Geoff Hoffman of Goshen and Britt Scott of Fort Wayne Snider were the high point individuals in their respective classes. Coach Carl Weaver gave credit for the Nlike Wynn placed second in the l600 meter relay run. Here he paces his Northwood and Manchester opponnents in the race. Rela s Title win to the depth ofthe team and the will- ingness of each team member to win. lt was a team victory: no one person won the meet. he stated. The weather was beautiful and the stands were filled with fans cheering on their favorite teams. The honorary referee was Mr. .lohn Niccum. who had kindly don- ated the use ofthe public address system on Foreman Field for many years. The Relays Queen was Senior Sherrie Stcaly. who was chosen by a vote of the student body. An elated winner. Geoff Hoffman crosses the finish line in the 800 meter relay.
