. y n - QA- vv-wwf?-'wr'K?llU1' The Plot Was Murder 1 s. -l ff ' . :I -t' -' . .5 .,.,. Y. i. fl-22 QOQA if, 'Vi I' . T W1 af' Mystery and suspense held the audiente spell- bound during the fall play lVlousc-trap by Agatha Christie. The plot was one of those who-done-it murder mysteries, a snobby elderly lady, lVlrs. Boyle, was murdered at Monlrswell Nlanor without ti clue left at the scene of the crime. Wlho did it? Vilas it Mollie Ralston, the naive young hostess of Monks- well lVlanor, or was it her quiet, jealous, husband, Giles? lWaybe it was one of the guests staying at lVlonkswell Manor: Christopher Xwren, an obnox- ious young man, Major Metcalf, a retired army officer, Miss Casewell, a sarcastic biddy in her mid twenties, or Mr. Paravincini, the unexpected guest. The murder began to unravel when Sargeant Trotter arrived to investigate the murder. Who did it? It wasn't Giles or Mollie Ralston, not even Chris- topher Wren, or Major Metcalf. That left Mr. Paravincini and Miss Casewell. Which one did it? Neither! By the end of the mystery the audience discovered that Sargeant Trotter really wasn't a sargeant, but a psychotic lciller revenging the past. I found out from being in a play what hard worlr really is, commented Tony Lylce, who played Sar- geant Trotter. Hard worlc isn't the only thing Terressa Eaton, who played Mrs. Boyle, learned, I learned about taking responsibility, and how to open up more. Cn the night of the play almost everyone was nervous. It wasn't just the actors and actresses that had butterflies. I was nervous. or rather scared half to death, because I wasn't sure if the sets loolced all right. I was afraid a major catastrophe would hap- pen, like maybe one of the walls would fall down. But when it was all over, I felt really good about what I had done, stated stage manager Alma Reves. Many viewers of the play thought the produc- tion was good also. The mystery drama was a nice change from the usual comedy production. Also, the set designs were the best I have seen at Goshen High School, commented Mrs. Diane Cartwright. Tim Savage, who plaved the neurotic Cristopher Yfren, freshens his make-up between srenes. After .1 tiring but worthwhile performance, Kyle lfastman and john Nleyer take off their make-up and prepare to go home - 'N' -- i is ' l --, - 3, ' Q .rg--r.:. in I 3 Q .5 5 . -... f , , - Q 'Q A f . 147, A is Q XVhat does it take to build a set for Mouse-trap? Twenty-nine flats, three pounds of taclcs, 400 roragated nails, five boxes hot glue, six gallons of paint, half pound of wall paper paste, and about 365 hours of work. lx-...ggt.iw A .ferr 4 Y AQ 4' .ag
