We ' -Zqelaowz Mr. and Mrs. Starr are surrounded by the friends and relatives who came to appear on the This Is Your Life program. Mr. Starr is trying out one of the new camera accessories given to him by the faculty. 15 ii ' .ii Thomas Starr, who was head of GHS . 'e Q for the past 10 years, submitted his resigna- y tion March 10, 1960. He accepted the posi- tion of superintendent of the Corydon school system and began his duties there April 18, 1960. Mr. and Mrs. Starr were guests of honor on March 25 at a buffet supper given by the GHS faculty. Mr. Starr was presented with camera accessories as a farewell gift. I6 Mr. Richard G. Bigler is shown as he narrated the surprise assembly program Mr. Bigler is escorting Mr. Starr to the stage for the surprise assembly program in his honor. On Friday, April 8, a surprise program This Is Your Lifew-Thomas J. Starr was given with Richard G. Bigler as master of ceremonies. The program was arranged by the Student Council with Ethel Grogg in charge. Friends and relatives appeared on the pro- gramg letters were received from people who were not able to attend, and Mr. Starr's daugh- ter, Sylvia, sent a tape-recorded greeting from California. At the close of the assembly, Mr. Starr was given a desk set as a gift from the student body.

He is a senioraclaus sponsor. 3-'ir 1-X GHS librarian, EDA MARGARET BARNES, likes to cook, sew, entertain, travel, and be a spectator of sports in her leisure time, She sponsors two GHS clubs, Scribblers Club and Li- brary Club.
