SENIOR PLAY HTOBY HELPS OUT The Senior play, Toby Helps Out , under the direction of Miss Slechticky, was presented Friday, November 22, to the public in the High School Auditorium, The play, a three act comedy, Written by Anne Coulter Morters, takes place in a small typical American town of today. A group of high school students are out to Will a play contest and the play, a serious one, goes Over as hilarious Melodrama. Everyone regards the play with dead seriousness except the cut-up Toby who plays the part of the poor old Mother. While the heroine pleads with the cruel villian to spare her poor old Mother, Toby rigged out in a Woman's garb, clutches his hair in des- pair and removes his Wig. He falls off a stool and goes through other antics that convulses the audience but makes the cast ready to murder him. I.n addition to all the other troubles, characters forget their cues and comical mistakes occur. ln the end the group is just heart broke, but the judges decision arrive to delight them so the play ends with every- one celebrating the happy ending.
