CLASS PROPHECY Ring, Ring. It's the telephone and I in my lavish home am about to answer the telephone. The Conversation: Hello? Who Eloise, Oh yes, Eloise Galel We graduated toget- her back in '47, Golly, 20 years ago, along with 23 others. What happen- ed to them? Hum, I wonder if I know. Oh, surely, you've heard about Ralph Twenhafel. Goodness, I thought that everyone had heard about his success in the car business, since his discovery of gas made from crushed tree leaves, and his in- vention of the Twenhafempty automobile. This auto is supposed to be one of the best cars made, better even than the Ford's. Even Roger Mizer has one, and you recall how stuck he used to be on the Plymouth. What! You don't remember Roger! Why Lucy, how could you forget that dashing, love 'em and leave 'em Senior. Evidently he loved and left once to often, cause he's still single and is considered quite a catch around Hollywood. He plays villian parts in the movies. And how Gorham has grown! The new parts of town were most- ly started by Seniors of '47, There is the library founded by Dean Hindman called Hindman Horrors , and he has only horror and mystery stories. He has written several books, one entitled Horrible Isn't It . Dean has a beautiful Irish wife, met her through the Pen Pals we had in our Senior year. Gorham is a highly educational town now, as Edris Jarrett and Bob Knoke have started a college here. Bob is still interested in sports and is coach of the team at his college, very popular too. Edris teaches Home Ec. and P.E. Edris and Bob are both married and Edris does a very good job of I keeping house, raising children, and teaching. Bob's wife is a model for the art classes at the college. Speaking of teachers, I know you won't believe it but Melvin Fritsche and Leroy Darnstaedt are both teachers. Leroy teaches History at S.I.N.U. and Melvin at the Gorham College. Demerits are their by- word, and I hear that they are really straightening the kids out. This will amaze you I know but it's the truth. Charolette Luns- ford and Doris Cox are running a restaurant, making a fortune off the Coxburger and Lunsecue. Charolette married soon after we graduated and has had three husbands since. Babe too, has led a merry life. I know of four husbands, but what happened to them is a mystery to us. The candy business in jones Ridge is thriving. Kenneth Rohl- fing is very proud of his discovery that enables him to sell those car- mels 5 for one cent. Gosh, how he used to gripe about paying a penny apiece for those he used to eat in history. Kenneth is still looking for just the right girl . He plans to look in Hollywood next. 1

When Carol and Eilene were voted most likely to succeed they were slated for the right thing. They have succeeded. Golly the way we used to speculate about those two! Will they or won't they? They did! They were married soon after Carol graduated from his pilot training. They now have six kids. Their names are Betty, Sonia Eloise, Ralph, Carol and Eilene. Nice family, Eh. . James Tindall is still a great athlete, although it is time for him to retire from the basketball ring. Wop is still yelling for him and Wop and james Ir. yell right along. Did you read about jim Mifflin in today' s Vasquez Gab 7 The very first person to dig all the way to China, Golly am I proud to have known him. Sonia R. went far in the field of Music. Now she is leading an Orchestra of her own at Carnegie Hall. At last her dreams are realized. johnny McLaughlin really put life in the A.A.A. I do believe he has the farmers organized enough to go on a strike. Twenty years ago, that would have been next to impossible. Even though Shirley and Earl were the most bashful boys in the class of '47, they made quite a wrinkle in the world. Shirley is manager of an Orphans Home and in his spare time -operates a Lonely Hearts Club. KI think that is where Doris Cox got her husbandsj Earl is his assistant in everything. The Christensen dairy products, run by Clarence is thriving. Butter has gone down to twenty cents a pound through his efforts. He has done his share for mankind. Oh yes, Clarence has one of those helicopters! He has quite a time in it they say. Donna Rae is a dentist. She can really jerk out the snags, must be pretty good for that's where .Mr. Dunn and Mr. Leinert got their store teeth . Most of her patients are men. Lucky Donna. Is that all the Seniors? Oh, Wilma Porter. Wilma has been gone from here a long time. She married an explorer and sailed for Africa. No one has heard from her since. I'm in the newspaper business now. Editor of the Vasquez Gab . Miss Slechticky writes the comic strips, Miss Colonius is Society Editor and Mr. Dunn writes the sports columns. The rest of the teachers are sorta fuzzy i.n my mind Cas usual? but I do know that Mr. Leinert left the High School to become principal of the college. You'd never know him now, as he doesn't have a hair on his head. Miss Henson hasn't changed much except that her hair is en- tirely gray. Oh yes, she finally married Charley, but she is still teaching.
