April 11. junior Assefnbly l-rogram. An enjoyable assembly too. Ray Hollman seems to 'Cake the 'cake in every assembly. When asked how he could act so silly, Ray j11St said, Oh, it just comes naturally. April 18. Mr. Harn and the members of all the music classes presented a grand musical concert. The program consisted of numbers from the band, chorus, special instrument solos, and many other beautiful numbers,'including special solos from a few girls from Murphysboro, Illinois. .April 19. District band and choral contest at Benton, Illinois. April 23. Sophomore Weiner roast. More fun , said SuelPyron. Wonder Who she in- vited to the party? Ask Xmas. May l. Activity Banquet. It seems one can't Wait to find out whether or not they won an intellectual letter or a medal of some sort. May 7. F.H.A. party at the jackson County Country Club. Dancing Was enjoyed after the members enjoyed a Weiner roast. May 15 lt's left up to me Semors to have a sort of nnal good time with each other. If you Would listen real hard, you would hear one of the Seniors say to another, NI didn't know Johnny could be so much fun . Too bad We found that out almost too late, isn't it? We could have more parties next year-if---Well, no use to say if 'cause we have just about finished our school Work at good old G.C.H:S. May 23, Junior-Senior Banquet. The first banquet to be given in the old G.C.H.S. gym, Junior-Senior banquet that is. May 26. Final exams, A lot of Worried faces were seen today. Everyone seemed to have something to study for Mr. Lienert had to give no demerits at all. This was the happiest day of the year , said Mr. Lienert. I never did like to give demerits but it seems that is the only Way to make some of these knot heads mind May 28. The trip to St. Louis. A lot of fun for all of G. C. H, S. Even Miss Henson got up enough nerve to ride the Cuddle-Up . It's really fun isn't it Miss Henson? Anyway, it makes you feel like you were a kid in school again instead of a History teacher. M 29.
