Dec. 11. Did anyone notice those good-looking pictures in Miss Slechticky's room today? We sure have some beautiful Seniors---Don't you think? ? ? ? ? ? ? Dec. 13. Friday the 13th. We wonder if Mr. Weas thought to bring his good luck charm to school today. Who.needs a good luck charm , says Mr. Weas. 'laalwavs have good luck anyway, Dec. 17, The Christmas spirit is in the air today because a pretty Christmas tree Was put up in the study hall. Lots of mistletoe was brought to school too. Too had one can't be romantic in school--huh, LeRoy? Dec. 20. Last day of school before Christmas vacation. Two movies were shown and the gifts were given out. Well, Merry Christmas, everybody. See you in about two weeks. Dec. 21-Ian. 5. Vacation. Ian.. 6. School again. Everyone looked happy to be back to school again, excepta certain Senior boy. Gee, I Wish we had bam more months of vacation , says Jim Miiflinl Ian. 7. More pretty dresses and suits. Reason? The last-group of pictures were taken. Ian. 9. Two Seniors, Eilene Mezo and Carol Verseman, took the Pepsi-Cola scholar ship test. Keep your fingers crossed kids and hbpe you passed. Jan. 10. Basketball game Ian. 13. Examination week coming upl Mr. Lienert closed the Library and magazine tables. ,We quote Mr. Lienert, I Want to see each and every one studying for the coming examinations . A look of extreme discomfort crossed over the face of Raymond Amschler. Ugh, he says. Ian. 16-17. Examinations--pencils were Worn down to the stub. Those tests sure were hard. Bubble gum was on exhibit. Where? Ask Bette Hellmer how she got it off the end of her nose. jan 21. Basketball game at Ava. G.C.H.S. victorious.

Ian. 22. LOts of faces fell today as the report cards were distributed. 'GI just can' t understand how I failed this subject , Was the crest fallen remarks of many Students. Not everyone was unhappy though--There Were plenty of good solid A's, B's. and C's. Jan. 27-31. Invitational Basketball Tournament at Gorham. Feb. 3. Tongues were wagging rapidly today. 'cWhose your pen pal, and Where is she from? Yes, you guessed it. Miss Slechticky ordered pen pals for the students in her English Classes. Feb. 5. Did anyone hear something which sounded like ice clinking against glass to- day? Wrong guess, people. That sound was teeth clicking against teeth as the cold Weather takes effect. Brrrll Feb, 7. First full length movie was shown today-- Scattergood Baine . Feb. 10. More thrills and spills. F. F. A. Skating party. Clce Skatingl. Feb. 11. Basketball. Grand Tower, here. Feb. 22. Saturday. Mr. Harn and nine of the girls in his Chorus class, Went to the Choral Clinic at Carbondale, Illinois. Mr. Harn's group of singers was only: a small group in comparison With the group of all the other schools combined. Did you hear the program on the night of February 22? If you didn't, you really missed something Wonderful. Didn't they Mr. I-larn? Mar 12. Senior hike. When are We going to stop and eat , asked Betty Vasquez in a pain filled voice. Now don't get excited, kids, for we Were not trying to starve poor little Betty. No we were just trying to reach the top of the hill so We could find a level place to spread our lunch. And Whata lunch! If you heard a Senior groan the next day you knew what was wrong. Yea, too many dill picklesl Mar. 28. junior Play--Aunt Jenushy wasn't so bad when she was '6riled up was she, Johanna? Or was she? Seems a shame not to mention. all the funny things poor old Aunt Ierushy did but there just isn't time---of course it would take a whole page or so, so We'll just say to Aunt Ierushy, Don't hit anyone too hard with a rolling pin, etc.
