GIRL'S PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB ' As a by-product of P. E. Classes the P. E. Club was organized last year, consisting of all girls interested, whether or not they are in P. E., with Miss Henson as head of the club. As the first event of the year, the charter members took it upon themselves to initiate, in the proper manner, and with in due ceremony, the new arrivals to the club. The newcomers were very good sports, and came to school dressed in the designated manner, representing old fash- ioned farm Wives. The initation proved one thing at least, those girls have imagination, although it is doubted that the farm wives represented would have been very much flattered. The income for the clubcomes from dues paid twice a year by the members, by the members. Officers chosen by the club to perform for them this year are President Hattie Killian Vice President Vanita Rathjen Secretary-Treasurer Sonia Rednour At all parties this year, all charter members of the club are invited, Graduates or otherwise. PEP CLUB This year the Pep Club was reorganized again with a swell group of active girls. The club is under the leadership of Miss Slechticky. This year our club held an Amateur Show on November 5, 1946. It was very successful and everyone responded splendidly. The club also chose their new cheerleaders for the year. The Pep girls chose the six girls they liked best. Then the assembly chose the final three leaders for the year. ln the final vote Hattie Killian, Charolette Lunsford and Edris Jarrett were chosen. The officers for our club this year are. President Hazel Gale Vice President Eilene Mezo Secretary-Treasurer Betty Vasquez The dues for our club are twenty cents a semester. The charter members of this club were happy to have so many girls. interested enough to join. The Pep Club has several parties scheduleg this year. Y Kathleen Demster
