Ju N aoras BOX BUFFER On November 3, 1943 the Junior Class decided to hold a box supper on the ,night of November 18 in the New Study Hall. Mr. Larkie Snider promised to auction the boxe The S. evening proved to be a very successful one. Besides the fun provided by auctioning all the boxes, there was a variety of entertainment consisting of a fishing pond, cake walks, cake guesses, and various contests Everybody wanted to guess the contents of a small cake baked in the form of a lamb. Katherine June Snider Won by guessing what-it contained ---- a small American Flag. Contests were held such as: The The The The The to determine certain questions Sourest Person in the House--Chuck Aldrige biggest sissy--Kenneth Born sweetest girl--Ruth Eckert l biggest sucker--Jeff Hiser spooniest couple--Tillie Jo Hiser Melvin Brush After expenses were deducted, the Juniors had 565g67 to their credit. The class feels that much of this success was due to Mr. Snider's ability as an auctioneer and wishes to thank him for this service. The Juniors have decided to use this money in entertaining the Seniors and Faculty on an all--day picnic at Crab Orchard Lake, Saturday, May 27.
