During football season pep rallies are the main attraction of every Friday. The combined student body joins together in the gym to cheer the Apaches on to victory. Each pep rally consists of a performance by either the Flames or the twirlers. The mighty Apache Band begins each pep rally by playing the thundering Fight Song that always brings the students to their feet. Screams and yells of Apache Spirit break out everywhere. Each Friday during football season the student body of G.H.S. prove Apache Spirit is Everlasting. A. The Mighty Apache band shows their spirit during a Friday peprally, support the Apaches all the way. B. A New Drill Team ??? No, it ' s the Apache Farmers dancing during the Cuero peprally. Look at those legs!! C. As tradition holds, all the Seniors gather on the gym floor as they sing their last school song, during a G.H.S. peprally. D. The 1977-78 Apache foot- ball team. They are the reason the G.H.S. pep rallies are so spirited. E. Mr. Glass made his debut at a G.H.S. pep rally as what else but ... The Long Tall Texan. F. One of the jobs done every week during football season is the making of the Apache sign. Here being painted by Don Pilsner. G. Bored at a pep rally? Never! D. Smith, T. Finley, and T. Schomberg sing the school song. H. Andrew Rodriguez and Kenneth LePori break through the sign at a Friday night football game. I. The Senior class forms the spirit line for the boys at the first pep rally, even Mr. Burrows joins in. J. Danny Smith, the 1977-78 Drum Major, puts all he has into each half time performance. K. Senior, Mike Ballard reflects Apache spirit as he ascends the spirit ladder.
