The Activities of the Community CAMPUS SHOTS E Mr. Fred A. Havel, jr., principal of G.H.S. per- forms his duties faithfully for the third year. Mr. Havel possesses the ability of maintaining discipline and remaining the stu- dents' friend at the same time lu C56 Acting not only as office assistant to the superintendent, but also as secretary of the board of education, Miss Odelle Hamilton handles the detail work of the school dis- trict. .sul '-ii- - 1 f -,4-l Superintendent A. O. Bird is the h e ad of G.H.S. Mr. Bird is never too busy to speak to students, either in personal conferences or in assemblies. His interest in the school system is evident, in this, his twen- ty-second year as super- intendent. Working together on the permanent records are Mr. Walter B. Alexander and Mrs. Robert I. Vackar. So is the personality of the school represented by these students who have that special quality which lifts them out of the ordinary. They are a Symbol of the school as the Confederate Square is a symbol of the towm. 7
