Superintendent’s Message Dr. Mathews True education doesn’t stop upon a student’s receiving a diploma. It has been a process of acquiring the tools for use in continual and subsequent learning and problem solving. Every age of the world has had difficulties and issues that had to be faced. This year is not too different from those that preceded it or those that will follow it. As graduates of 1969, you will be called upon to confront more than the usual frus- trations, personal problems, community and national anxieties, man’s eternal search for truth, and the quest for individual success However, your exposure to the era in which you live and the sophistication of educational change during the past decade has given you infinitely more knowledge, greater emotional stability, a higher degree of poise, an empathy for the feelings of others, and a devout seriousness of purpose to meet these confrontations. The world needs your concern and interest. Our problems are multiplying geo- metrically. We look forward with anticipation to your high enthusiasm and desire for involvement. The stage is set; we await your entrance.
