V1 1111 Student Council Once agaln last fall Student Councrl mem bers were elected and the councll was organ lzed w1th the asslstance of Mr Bert Crandall and Mr Arthur Ferguson The membershrp conslsts of s1x senrors flve Junlors and four sophomores Wlth three honorary members who are the class presldents Although they do par t1c1pate ln meetmgs they have no votlng power Every Tuesday mornmg at 8 OO o clock meet mgs were held ln No 208 School problems and act1v1t1es were d1scussed and rmprovements suggested and worked out Student Councrl accomplrshed much thrs year Just as 1t has m prevrous years lt became a famrhar s1ght to see the councrl No 208 encouragrng the sale of tlckets for our football and basketball games th1s year They took turns durmg therr study halls on the day precedlng each game to sell these trckets They also took rn the trckets at the football games ACf1V1f1eS That wasnt the only Way 1n whxch they asslsted at the games As one remembers We had to have someone check our coats at the basketball games so the councrl members helped out there too Durmg the fall they sponsored a very suc cessful football hop W W1ll never forget our class meetlngs Several exc1t1ng but rnterestlng debates took place about student affafrs The councrl members were present also to QIVG thelr reports on the act1v1t1es on Whlch they were worklng They presented the Corn dor Rule wh1ch was put 1nto effect for the flrst trme thrs year An attendance comm1ttee was appo1nted to try and make us be more regular rn at tendance ln November the Student Counc1l sponsored the annual football banquet Wlth Larry Kelly as speaker STUDEIN T CO UNCIIL Frau!
