McCullough, son of Blaine and Helen McCullough of Fumace Acres, West Virginia, was born on October 25, 1940 in Cumberland, Maryland. He joined the Navy as an enlisted man in 1960 and was commissioned an ensign through the Navy Enlisted Scientific Education Pro- gram QNESEPD upon graduation from Marquette University in 1969. From January 1970 through January 1971, Commander McCullough served as First Lieutenant on USS NOA CDD-8415, homeported in Mayport, Florida. ln March 1971, he reported to the precom- missioning crew of USS PAUL QFF 10805, homeported at Newport, Rhode Island, as the Anti-Subma- rine Warfare Officer. ln June 1972, Commander McCullough became the Weapons Officer on USS PAUL and served in that capacity until August 1975. From September 1975 through August 1975 Commander McCullough served as Officer-In-Charge of the Navy Recruiting Class "A" Station, New Haven, Connecticut. He subsequently received orders to the Surface Warfare Officers School in Newport, Rhode Island. Following graduation from the Surface Warfare Officer School department head curriculum in May 1976, Commander McCullough reported to USS COONTZ QDDG-40D in Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as Chief Engineer through June 1978. Commander McCullough was next assigned to the staff of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Atlantic fleet, where he served as the readiness and training section's Steam Propulsion Officer through July 1981 and subsequently as Material Officer for Commander, Cruiser-Destroyer Group Eight until May 1982. ln July 1982, Commander McCullough reported for duty as Executive Officer on the Norfolk based frigate, USS THOMAS C. HART KFF-10925. He was reassigned in April 1984 and served as Chief Staff Officer for Commander, Destroyer Squadron Twenty Six for the eighteen months preceed- ing his assignment as Commanding Officer, USS GLOVER fFF-1098l. Among his decorations, Commander McCullough wears two Meritorious Service Medals, three Navy Commendation Medals and the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat Commander McCullough is married to the former Anne-Marie Bonnin of Nice, France. They have three children, David Blaine, Michele Catherine and Tricia Anne. 5

EXEC TIVE OFFICER 90 .4-9-+nmmvlr- , -rm., LCDR Joseph W. tBillJ Glass Lieutenant Commander Joseph W. Glass is currently the Executive Officer of USS GLOVER IFF-10987. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland in 1972. Before reporting to GLOVER LCDR Glass was attached to: USS JOSEPH HEWES IFF-10783 as Gunnery Missile Officer. Later he served as NavigatorfAdministrative Officer. NROTC Unit at the Citadel where he served as Navigation Instructor. While there he also earned his MBA degree. USS JOHN KING IDDG-53 as Operations Officer. USS MILWAUKEE QAOR-23 as Chief Engineer. COMNAVSURFLANT Staff as Current Operations Scheduler. He achieved com- mand qualification while assigned to the staff. LCDR Glass holds four Navy Commendation Medals and a Navy Achievement Medal with Combat among his awards. He is married to the former Kim Whilton. They have a son, Joshua,
