;„k School ybrarv The Cavalier XII Edition Edited by the Senior Class of 1965 " Peanuts characters by James G. Marshall w ith apologies to Charles M. Schulz — Copyright 1965 by United Feature Syndicate, Inc. " Dedication Counting you as a talented teacher, an excellent advisor, and a trusted friend, and because of your eager and encouraging spirit with that so rare combination of com¬ radeship and dignity we, the Senior Class of Gloucester High School, affectionately dedicate this 1965 Cavalier to you, Mrs. Louise Boyd Foreword " Time and tide wait for no man. " Early in Sep¬ tember we started the school year. Soon after, we were once again in full swing with the many activities at Gloucester High. So many things to do -- classes, -- and still more classes!! Suddenly we seemed caught in a fierce storm, tossed and blown about by winds so strong that at times we were afraid we were lost. Now the wind has ceased and we are at the end of another year. The seniors solemnly march to GOD OF OUR FATHERS for the last time and the underclassmen quickly fill the seats left to them. As we look back over the year, it is quite impossible to recall all the things we did, all the hours of fun and work, or the security we felt with understanding, con¬ genial friends. The Cavalier Staff has tried to capture by word and picture the life lived at G.H.S. It is the sincere wish of the Staff that this -- The Cavalier of 1965 -- will bring a smile, a chuckle, or maybe even a tear in reliving the events of this past year. " When we grow too old to dream we ' ll have you, ” G.H.S., and all the memories you hold within your walls, " to remember!!! " 3 Gloucester High School ALMA MATER We sing our Alma Mater And praise thy glorious name. We join in mighty chorus To laud thy halls of fame. Sing hail to Thee, Sing hail to Thee Loud let your voices cry With loyal adoration For dear old Gloucester High We ' ll fill our hearts with gladness And never shall it die. FIGHT SONG Oh, we will fight, fight, fight for Gloucester, Oh, we will fight on to the end. Oh, we will fight, fight, fight for Gloucester, Never to give in. And when the Dukes march on in triumph, Victory in their sight; Stand and hear our loyal cheer for the Red and White. 4 LLL1I OK ' HH}h UferrfY MR. D. D. FORREST Superintendent MR. MILTON M.
