M ,E In September, 1937 seventeen freshmen enrolled in the Glenham high school. These were: Bertha Anderson, Herbert Bertsch,' Elsie Eisenman, Earl Espeland, Albert Haefner, Berniece Hanson, FIdona'Merkel,, Virginia Molstad, Donald Rabenbergg'Leona Schlomer,l Louise Sohlomer, Erna Steiger, Edmund Steiger, Leroy Steiger, Velma Walth, Hazel Eichel- berg, and Emil Phitzer. The latter two dropped out after about six weeks of school and Herbert Bertsch left school after the first semester. Initiation week was held and an initiation party was given by the sophomores to which all of the high school were 1nv1tcd.., E gs. ,,, A . The class officers were: president, Virginia Molstadg vice pres1dent,, Erna Steigergo secretary-treasurer, Elsie' Eisenman., Mr. Whalley was class adviser. ' The members have taken an active part in all school activities. The boys and girls all took part in physical education. Six members sang at the music contest in Mo- bridgo and five were in the chorus that went to. Yankton. In the operetta, URose of the Danube,U Elsie Eisenman ands Virginia Molstad were two of the main characters, The rest of the class sang in the chorus, . E 'A Elsie Elsenman was the soprano soloist and 'a'.member of the girls trio for the music contest.
