X V , V u I On August 51, 1956, eleven students entered the Glen- ham high ss freshmen.c The lstudents lwerezs Joseph Callen, Ervin Dupper, Viola Geiszler,' Alma Gill, .Hazel Hanson, Myrtle.Hansbn,l Carol High, Alvin Schlomer, Irene Wessel, Herbert Wientjes, and Cornelius Snalble. Soon after school started the latter two dropped out. Class officers were: president, Joseph Callengs viee president, retary-treasure, Viola Geiszler. The class Whalley. . ' 1 The freshmen class was initiated by during the fourth week of schools A return party was given to them by the freshmen. They also sponsoredfa program for the student body organization on December 18. The high school band played several numbers sit thlssmeeting. I In- September,'l957, the class came back to school again as sophomores. Irene Wessel transfered to Mound City but otherwise the class remains the same. Class officers are: president,1 Viola Geiszlerg vice president, Hazel Hanson: secretary - treasurer, Alma Gillg and again Mr. Whalley was class adviser. , . 'gf A he A psrty,was given for. the freshmen,February 4, 1958. The freshmen were held responsible for a program. A lunch was served and the rest of the evening was spent in playing games. . A Six, of the sophomores took part in the musiocnntest in Mobridge and all except one took part in the operetta. All of the students took part in physical education.
