, A4 hi M H-IT' Kathy Reigns as 1976 Homecoming M8671 A windy breeze prevailed throughout the crowd as it anxiously awaited the crowning of the 1976 Homecoming Queen October 15, at Citrus Stadium. The five members of the Homecom- ing Court were escorted by their proud fathers down the red carpeted field, as the band played tunes from My Fair Ladyf, Tears ran down the face of Kathy Peters Q11 as she was announced and crowned the 1976 Homecoming Queen QD. The tradi- tional sword dance was performed in honor of queen Kathy immediately fol- lowed by members of the plaid Piper Drill Team, who formed an archway with their swords. Queen Kathy, hold- ing a bouquet of red roses, walked through the archway followed by her princesses lf Only you Believefi was the theme of the Homecoming Dance held in the GHS gym on Saturday night, October 16 and sponsored by the Girls Athletic League. The Whizz Kidds set the dance in motion with their sounds to rock 'n roll.
