Hair styles took a shorter look 131 modeled after Olympic ice skating champion Dorothy Hamill 161. Fashion hems lowered and the dress styles incllfded boots, gauchos and vests 14-1. CB radios 171, along with skateboard- ing 121 were the rage of the day. ' Rock star Peter Frampton 181 made his debut in 1976-77. Charlie? Angels 111 featuring'Farah Fawcett Majors, Jacyln Smith and Kate Jackson was the hit TV show of the season. TV serials were enormously popular and many Tartans tuned into Roots 1101 every night for eight consecutive days. Many also followed the continuing saga of Mary Hartman, Mary Hart- man 151. Movie greats of the year included Marathon Man, Rocky, A Star ls Born, Netw0rk,', and an occult 'film called Carrie,' 191. The V remake of 'fKing Kong also drew record crowds to the box office 191.
