-z 'W GH Choirs Tour Eureka in April The- Concert and A Cappella choirs proudly represented Glcndora High Sf-hoolis music department this year under the direction of Mr. Don Clarke who has directed the groups for 10 5 cars. The choirs sponsored many fund raising drives this year to earn money for their trip to Eureka. ln October the choir sponsored a successful money raiser by selling jewelry. During November, the choir cut a Christmas album in Hollywood. The record sold over 300 copies. ln December, the choirs sold sta- tionery made from recycled trash. The choirs also sponsored many dime-a-dip dinners. A lot of time and devotion was spent throughout the year so the choirs could go on tour to Eureka, Calif. They stayed there for six days during April and had fun singing daily. A total of 40 people in choir went on the tour. They stayed in Fresno, Sacramento, Richmond, Eureka, San Francisco, and San Jose. Concert choir is composed of juniors and seniors while sophomores made up the a cappella group. There were no requirements to join a cappellag however, concert choir mem- bers auditioned in front of Mr. Clarke. The choir seems to be growing together in closenessf' said Cathy Gnegy, concert choir member. of 41 -'I wie' 1 . .ii All 9 Xl: ' I .u.a.. i 'i1-- fda H : gd? Q .,. f , , ri .. . . Pep and Stage Band Keep Spirit Going This year's Stage Band and Pep Band kept spirit going, long into the second semester. Consisting mainly of juniors and sophomores, the pep band played at all home QD and away football games. The group played at home basketball games Q21 and all pep assemblies. Wlienever Tartans heard Scotland the Brave, the fight song, the Alma Mater or Bud- wiser they could be sure it was the pep band playing. This was the first year in a long time that the pep band has really been active in school activities. Often more than 60 stu- dents would show up for a performance. It was great working with the band for a change, H n 'aa-4--qv. ' V wh L. '- 1 Q ji'- - K L 1 A . 5 ., ' fy - r W ' V' -1 x ,e 1 1 xy A Q I- , , . N- - in ' ' ' X ' 5134...- g-- . - x ' Q! .
