IT Long Beach City College Los Angeles City College DEDICATION 1949 marks Glendale College ' s first year after reaching the age of majority. In twenty-two years of provid- ing education and opportunity for the youth of this area she has come a long way from the orphan days of 1927, when Glendale College was no more than a vacant wing of Glendale hiigh School. A fitting recognition of her maturity was last year ' s acceptance of Glendale College into the Western States Conference. With a fine campus, modern facilities, and a superb faculty, Glendale College is moving in her rightful place in the ranks of the major junior colleg es of the Southland. And so, it is to Glendale College and to her future as a member of the Western States Conference, that we proudly and respect- fully dedicate the 1949 La Reata.
