Having had exper- ience as vice-president under Bob Burnett, he was well ac- quainted with the duties of president. During his term of office the constitution was changed, the budget was drawn up. the election procedure and the hand book were revised, and the spring formal was made a success. Executive Board semester II. under the leadership of Rusty Riddle operated on an entirely dif- ferent scale. Members of the council enrolled in Soc. Sci. 41. a leadership course which taught the fundamentals of parliamentary procedure. The afternoon meeting of the group was changed to an early hour. . . . Four plans for changing the system at the college were set up. A constitutional revision committee, under the chairmanship of Jux Schnatmcicr set up a new type of government with two houses — a cabinet and a legislative. Cap Blackburn headed the election revision division which called for new election procedures. Jim Brown and his committee worked out new plans which placed emphasis on Freshman Orientation week, while a handbook group headed by Virginia Wheeler worked with the journalism department to put out a new and different book. ;e Thirteen
