fi Z CLASS HISTORY lt s that tlme agam the time when the hlstory of another gradua tlng class IS put to pages We are The Class of 1987 96 members strong Slx short years ago durmg the fall of 1981 82 we The Class of 1987 entered the halls of Glendale High School lt was a time of great confusion when we had to rely on our own resources The fall of 1982 83 had arrlved and we had one year of sklll and experlence behmd us The year of 1983 84 was here We were Freshmen and the upper classmen let us know lt As Freshmen we had two mam responsrbll IIICS Our flrst was the selection of class offxcers We chose Rich Laing Presldent Karen Noel Vlce Presldent Launa Clarke Sec retary Candy Queen Treasurer and Jeff Doughty Representatuve at Large Our second duty was to pay class dues Wnth the help of our advisors Mr Michael Sclablca and Mlss Darla Burket we were able to purchase our class sweatshlrts and to go on our class trlp to Harrisburg The summer passed all too qulckly lt was the year of 1984 85 and we were Sophomores We reallzed the need for leadershlp and orgamzatlon We chose Bob Mooney Presldent Mark Dudurlch Vlce President Jeff Doughty Secretary Amy Jo Carns Treasurer and Scott Spangle Representatxve at Large Our advrsors Mr .lack Burmelster and Mlss Clarlsse Traveny asslsted us ln the buymg of our class jackets and our Easter candy campaign It was the year 1985 86 our Junlor year which was spent prepar mg for the golden opportumtles that l1fe has to offer We sat through Doughty President Scott Spangle Vrce President Ronda Fmk Secretary Amy Jo Carns Treasurer and Don Johnston Represen tatnve at Large Under the superv1s1on of Mrs Sally Smrth and Mr Robert Smlth we were able to order our class rmgs and have a sellmg campaign of Chrlstmas candy Our mam task was the Junlor Semor prom nn whlch we chose Thls Could Be The Nlght as the theme to honor our Seniors The super Semor Year of 1986 87 had arrlved We kept busy wlth term papers graduatron announcements yearbook and newspaper deadlines SAT s fagalnj semor portralts college applications and lettmg the student body know who was the boss Our class officers were Jeff Doughty President Don Johnston Vlce President John Smnth Secretary Jodl Krepps Treasurer and Bob Mooney Repre sentatlve at Large Our advlsors were Mr Richard Burmelster and Mr Paul Conway who were by our side for the selling of magazines Chrlstmas merchandise and the preparation for our semor class rr Throughout our sux years at Glendale Hugh School the class members shared Joy and sorrow We are people who have successful ly worked together No mountain was too hlgh triumphs were shared and hardshlps were faced together Our lastlng friendships will remam without our hearts forever We are together The Class of 1987 A .4 -- ,... . - .- 1 I 2 - - ' ' . .
