CLASS HISTORY 1978- 1979 We were the first class to come from the new Glendale Elementary School. We were all excited, yet very scared, about going to the big high school. 1979-1980 We now knew more about the big high school and started getting into the swing of things. 1980-1981 We were more excited at the beginning of our Freshman year because this was the year we first elected class officers. We also had to make decisions concerning our curriculum choices. We ordered our class sweatshirts and shirts with the help of our advisors, Mr. Michael Sciabica and Miss Darla Burket. Our officers were: Raul Delerme, Presidentg Bill Noel, Vice- Presidentg Terri Bacher, Secretary, Calvin Hommer, Treasurer, and Dave Caskey, Representative-at-Large. 1981-1982 We were finally in senior high and we elected the following officers at the beginning of our Sophomore year: Raul Delerme, Presidentg Bill Noel, Vice-Presidentg Betsy Garman, Secretaryg Jerry Laing, Treasurer, and Kandi Dotts, Representative-at-Large. Our advisors, Miss Clarisse Traveny and Mr. Jack Burmeister helped us in ordering our class jackets and supervised our Easter candy sale. 1982-1983 At the beginning of our Junior year, we elected the following officers: Betsy Garman, President, Rich Hamilton, Vice- President, Kandi Dotts, Secretaryg Sharon Fleming, Treasurer, and Jodie Gondek, Representative-at-Large. Under the able leadership of our advisors, Mr. Robert Smith and Mr. William Mitchell, we made all the arrangements for the prom for the seniors. The theme was Just You and I and the prom was held at Sylvan View. We were all very pleased and this was a night we shall all remember. 1983-1984 We finally did it! We reached our final year in high school. We all knew that we would be facing trying, yet exciting times. Our class officers for our Senior year included: Rich Hamilton, President, Betsy Garman, Vice-President, Terri Bacher, Secretary, Brenda Rowles, Treasurer, and Calvin Hommer, Representative-at-Large. We conducted a Christmas selling campaign and a magazine campaign with the help of our advisors, Mrs. Kathleen Adams and Mr. Richard Burmeister. Our class trip proved to be most enjoyable and the many memories will be long remembered. We wish the future graduating classes at Glendale the best of luck and success. 41
