ROW 3: Bill Miller, Chuck Foster, Mike Vaughn, Buddy Smart, Terry Buchanan, Larry Hager, Floyd West, James Bowen, Larry Davis. ln a glorious finale to their year's performance the 27 chorus students have reflected their countless hours of practice. Under the direction of Miss Elaine Anderson the chorus presented two successful performances, the Christmas and Spring concerts. ln addition to the music department this year a girls' sextet and a trio was added. Miss Elaine Anderson, music instructor, has spent two years in Glendalz traveling tirelessly from grade school to high school hoping to transmit z little musical ability to her students. To win any game the players must know they are backed by a group who shares their desire to win. This is the basic aim of the Pep Club, which has made an excellent showing of school spirit at the games. The Pep Club is in line for thanks, too, for doing a swell job toward helping GHS capture the Sportsmanship Trophy. Laughter is the symbol of Judy O'Neil as she leads the Pep Club in many activities. 215

Therc's music in the air, as the thirteen GHS Band students, share their interests in music, play in the Christmas and Spring Concerts. was-.. The Pirate Band provides entertainment for parades and ball games. Every yearin the spring Miss Anderson and her crew attend the Band Clinic sponsored by the University of Oregon at Myrtle Creek. Their enthusiasm has increased the school spirit, and the music and time is appreciated. Sounding off loud and clear the band leads a Serpentine down town. 25
