Beverly Cox was the official GAA representative from Glendale. In the first game the Glendale sextet battled the Riddle Irish, Douglas Trojans, Myrtle Creek Vikings, Glide Wildcats, Sutherlin Bulldogs, and Oakland Oakers. After lunch entertainment was furnished hy members of Glide's GAA. Climax ofthe day was when Gllde's GAA president pre- sented the Glendale team with a first place award. Keeping the Pirate Spy ahead of deadlines was the job of co-editors, Beverly Cox and Jean Fachet. ajtdef-new In a typical working pose are Merry Fox, feature editor, Nonie Smith, circulation and Rose Mary Wood, reporter. ill! If you were to look in on the Joumalism class it wouldn't be unusual to find ink and paper all over the floor, our mimeograph acting up and everyone running around trying to get the paper out by the deadline. Co-editors--Jean Fachet and Beverly Cox are trying to get things organized. Reporters-- Sally Thompson, Bill Sloan, Ronald Smith and Ronald Nace are writing last minute stories. .Exchange--Mary Weeks and feature editor-- Merry Fox are pulling their hair trying to think of something unusual to make our paper more interesting. Sports--Gary Stevens, Jim Mosley, and Rose Mary Wood are writing on last night's game. Circulation--Charlotte Redfield and Nonie Srnith, jack of all trades, are doing any- thing and everything that needs to be done.
