It is hoped that as its well worn pages are thumbed, many pleasant thoughts will come to mind. In years to come, our school mates will be scattered all over the world, and the only contact we will have will be through our annual. We hope that in the future our annual will bring back Lingering Thoughts of our high school days--thoughts filled with vic- tory and defeat, happiness and sorrow, ec- stasy and depressiong thoughts of the first day of basketball practiceg the chants and yells of cheerleaders at pep rallies in the gymg the juniors and seniors playsg the cafeteria lineg the morning devotionals over the intercorhg the ordering of rings and invitationsg the Junior-Senior Banquetg the senior trip to Washingtong the com- mencement sermong the graduation exer- cises. Lingering Thoughts will never let us forget our days at Glendale High. NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN AFTER MID TERM ,Wffn 7- A- " O PLA , " ! S. SIMPSON It is a real pleasure to extend congratula- tions to you in connection with your accomp- lishments and successes throughout the years. I wish to urge that you continue to give your best to everything that you undertake. After having given your best I am sure that the best will come to you in return. With best wishes for continued success in life. ADMINISTRATIGN PRINCIPAL WILLIAM H. WEST To the class of 1961, we say bon voyage. We would not agree with those prophets of doom who would picture the world into which you are entering as one fraught with hate with evil, and with ever threatening destruc- tion. We would, however, remind you that hap- piness is the free gift of God, that all unhap- piness is man-made. Yours can be the hap- piest, most successful generation in history.
