SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS: Owen Tang, Vice Presidentg Jeanne Castle, Treasurcrg Beverly Baric, Secretaryg and Glenn W hu cr lrcsident. WE SENIORS, Clendale's contribution to the world,s knowledge, can remember the time, in the dim remote past. when we Walked . . . or ran . .'. humbly through the halls . . . bewildered by the maze of rooms . . . awed by the towering upperclassmen, and trying to dodge same, Then, suddenly we were sophomores, no longer cowering first-year students. We were seasoned veterans of academic achievement. We had advanced far enough to shoulder some responsibilities, so we elected four of our best as class officers. Many projects followed . . .collections for the Valley of the Sun School.. . the Sophomore Sock Hop . . . burning the midnight oil completing our themes for geography, and another year passed into oblivion. Then came summer vacation, two months of freedom which passed too quickly. We became upperclassmen, although juniors, and we busily engaged ourselves with earning money for the Junior-Senior Prom . . . passing history . . . heckling the freshmen . . . and working in the concession stand. We all began to Wonder what we planned to do senior year and after. And then we didnlt have to wonder any longer, because it was here. The mails became crammed as seniors sent for and received college catalogs, made choices and filed applications. The midnight oil began to burn again as we studied for college boards and entrance exams. But there are still the things they do to keep the animals quiet . . . Senior Day at the colleges . . . senior class dances . . . the Christmas and Sweetheart Formals . . . the Prom . . . Ditch Day . . . the all night party . . . and then it's over. We practice for Baccalaureate and Commencement . . . receive our diplomas . . and off into the world we go. AVE, GLENDALIA, MORITURI TE SALUTAMUS!! 26
