After what have appeared to be insurmountable staff problems, the l968 EL ENO has gone to Dress. When we accepted the job n December of I967, we realized :hat it was going to take a tre- nendous effort to get production Tinally started. However, we were not alone in our desire to see a yearbook published. We would like to thank the ad- ninistration and staff members for their cooperation in seeing this book through to its comple- tion. Our Photography Editor, David Yamamoto contributed greatly with many prints of his own and ay helping organize a very im- nortant department of yearbook aroduction. Mr. Roy Jordan and his staff in photographers Lyle McGill, AV, including Nick Campion. George Houck, Ray Hoffman and Walter Jackson receive our thanks and appreciation for their contributions and advice. Also, we must thank Mr. John Gustafson for his fine work and prints from the MCJCD photo lab. The distinctive cover design is the work of Miss Colleen Clifford, an art major at GCC. We can't possibly express our entire thanks to Mr. Conrad Bayl ley. With endless patience and good humor, he carefully direct- ed and helped us in our efforts at editing a 2l6 page book. He not only taught us the essentials which are necessary if a person is going to plan layouts, write copy, scale pictures, count characters, conduct interviews - the list is endless-but he rolled up his sleeves t6 work along with us wherever it was necessary. l-le was our advisor and much more thanthat. After what has literally been a year's effort, the book is fin- ished. ln it we have attempted to record the highlights of a truly remarkable and memorable year in the short history of Glendale Community College. An outstand- ing faculty, administration and staff have provided the stimulus for outstanding student accomp- lishment from the debate hall to the stage to the athletic field.
